Today

Satan will tell you that you are not ready, or that you have to get better to get right with God. But God says, “It is by grace (My Choice) you have been saved, through faith (your response to the Spirit in your heart) — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” It is impossible for you to get right with God through your own power. God is not looking for you to be good or righteous; He is looking for you to take that first step towards Him and He will transform your life as you give yourself to Him through faith in the Lord Jesus. Your growth will not happen overnight, but it is a journey that lasts a lifetime. God does not expect you to be perfect; He just wants you to slowly grow in His Spirit.

Remember I said that God is love. Well, this is God’s demonstrating His love for you, in that even though you are a sinner and in the past you have been hostile to the things of God, He still sent Christ to die for you and He still wants you to walk with Him – TODAY – again I say that today is the day. He didn’t wait for you to get right with Him, He prepared a way through Jesus Christ to reach out to you and to help you rise up to Him. All you have to do is reach up to Him.

Only those called by God will know the truth. The stirring you feel is God calling you. Today is the day to choose to respond to His call through faith in Jesus. If you are one of the chosen and your spirit hears His voice, now is not the time to harden your heart but to respond to Him.
