The General Council of the Churches of the Living God

There is but one true God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live.

Our Creed
The General Council of the
Churches of the Living God
There is but one true Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
There is but one true Holy Spirit, who guides us in all things and teaches us all things.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the leader of the Churches of the Living God and we dedicate our lives to him which is pleasing to our Heavenly Father, our God.

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, the firstborn over all creation. As the Word, by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

As the Word, he was in very nature a God, but he did not consider equality with God something to be grasped (as Satan did); instead, he made himself nothing, and showing us the way of love, he took on the very nature of a servant, and he became a man. As a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--he took our curse of sin upon himself--dying upon the symbol of a curse, the cross!

Out of his great love for his God and Father, he lived and died for Him. Therefore God raised him from the dead and was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood that was shed upon the cross.

After God raised Jesus from the dead, He exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, Jesus. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The Lord Jesus will reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. After he has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power, the last enemy to be destroyed is death, he will hand over the kingdom back to his God and Father, so that God may be all in all.

We recognize that in this world there are many gods, lords, and spirits; however, for us...
